The YPG Press Office released the identity of 8 fighters who fell as martyrs in Aleppo on different dates. The YPG said: “Our people waged an incredible struggle for a free and democratic life. Since the beginning of the Rojava Revolution, the struggle against the backward and occupying forces that are the enemy of humanity has been a unique example for all peoples of the world. This struggle has been marked by great and historical heroism and thousands of girls and boys of this country sacrificed their lives for the freedom of humanity and shed light on the future of humanity. We are grateful to our hero martyrs and we will fight to the end with great determination for the realization of their dreams and goals."
The YPG statement added: "In 2014, the attacks of ISIS mercenaries against our people reached a very high level. Our people and our fighters were fighting against these attacks everywhere. ISIS mercenaries carried out attacks and massacres against the people with inhuman methods in the villages of Aleppo and there was a great resistance against this. In this resistance, our comrades Ehmed Elhesen, Ehmed. Xidro, Şaban Îbrahîm, Elî Elhilo, Mihemed Elî Elbişar, Mustafa Mehmud and Beşar Qasim joined the caravan of martyrs.
Our comrade Karwan Efrîn was martyred as a result of a traffic accident that occurred on 2 January 2021. We commemorate our martyrs with respect and extend our condolences to their families and all our people.
