YPG fighter Brûsk Botan dies in accident

YPG fighter Brûsk Botan died in an accident during training. His funeral took place at the cemetery of martyrs in Dawûdiyê near Hesekê.

YPG fighter Brûsk Botan (Fuat Azrak) died in an accident during training in Hesekê on 2 January. His funeral took place today at the Şehîd Dijwar Cemetery of Martyrs in the village of Dawûdiyê near Hesekê.

The People's Defence Units (YPG) released a statement paying tribute to the revolutionary struggle of Brûsk Botan in Rojava and expressing their condolences to the bereaved: "He was known for his selfless dedication and maintained this attitude until the last moment of his life. He participated in the revolutionary work with great enthusiasm and confidently fulfilled his responsibility in this task."

At the funeral, a military ceremony was held in honour of Brûsk Botan. Xelîl Ebdullah gave an address on behalf of the Council of Martyrs’ Families and declared that the struggle will continue until a free and dignified life is possible for all people.
