The young people in Qamishlo's Qidûrbeg neighborhood announced the establishment of another battalion within the Social Defense Forces (HPC) to support the SDF and YPJ forces against the attacks by the occupying Turkish state and allied mercenaries against Northern and Eastern Syria.

The group made the announcement at the youth center in the neighborhood.

Ehmed Xazî, a member of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement, condemned the increasingly ongoing attacks by the Turkish state and proxy groups who, he said, “want to slaughter the peoples in the region by occupying this country which was built with the sacrifice of thousands of martyrs.”

Ehmed Xazî stated that they formed a self-defense battalion to support the SDF and YPJ resistance against the attacks.

Young people in Qamishlo city have so far formed 9 battalions within the HPC in the neighborhoods of Enteriyê, Cûdî, Aşûrî and Qidûrbeg.
