Women's Art and Literature Festival in Tabqa

The Democratic Civil Administration Culture and Arts Women's Committee organized an Art and Literature Festival in Tabqa.

In Tabqa, the Democratic Civil Administration Culture and Arts Women's Committee organized a Culture and Literature Festival with the slogan "The free woman is the soul of life". Democratic Civil Administration, representatives of political parties, representatives of women and youth organizations, members of the Future of Syria Party, a delegation from Rewa, as well as many people attended the festival held at the Martyr Musene Ebdulkerîm Hall. Those who attended the festival visited the exhibition featuring paintings of women who took part in the women's struggle. In addition to paintings, the exhibition also included cultural works.

Culture and Arts Committee co-chair Nurelhuda said: "As the Culture and Arts Committee, despite all the difficulties in Northern and Eastern Syria, we still continue our work. We support these works. Women see these festivals as a great opportunity to develop and protect their own culture."

Tabqa Democratic Civilian Administration Legislative Assembly co-chair Huda El Ewan said that Syrian women foiled the attacks carried out by the occupying Turkish state on the region by protecting their culture and arts. El Ewan added: "Women came to the fore in governing society. Women achieved great success in the Rojava Revolution and in Northern and Eastern Syria."

Zenubiya Women's Community Council executive Semira El Hebeş said that they will follow the path of the martyrs until they reach their goals. She added: "Women should improve their positions not only in Northern and Eastern Syria but all over the world and have a say in every field."

Artists Yasmîn El Mihemed, Evîn Bîlal, Nesrîn Botan, Rûken Reşîd and Zîlan El Ebdullah took the stage. Meryem Şerif read poems.
