Hundreds of people have been abducted by Turkish-backed jihadists in occupied Afrin, reported the Afrin Human Rights Organization. The district of Mabeta and surrounding villages are affected.

Ibrahim Şêxo, spokesman for the human rights organization, explained that the crimes are being committed by jihadists acting as Turkey's mercenaries in the occupied zone on the orders of the Turkish intelligence service. The village of Mirkan has been surrounded by the Jabhat al-Shamiya militia since Tuesday. Access to the village is blocked by heavily armed units with military vehicles. Hundreds of people, including women, have been abducted from the village. Kidnappings are also reported from the villages of Şîtka, Misteşîra, Erendê, Dela, Elî Caro and Qasmo in Mabeta.

According to the Afrin human rights organization, Xelil Husni, a civilian from Mirkan village, was tied to a vehicle with a rope around his neck and dragged all the way to Mabeta. Şêxo pointed out that the Turkish state wants to drive out the civilian population with this action.
