The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced the martyrdom of two of its fighters.

The statement released by the SDF Press Centre on Saturday said: "Terrorist DAESH (ISIS) cells carried out an attack in Abu Hemam town in Hajin city of Deir ez-Zor on Thursday. Our fighters Seif (Beşar Ebid El Ali) and Xetab (Heamed Mihemed El Şehaze), who were on duty at the time of the attack, were martyred.

We extend our condolences to the families of the two martyrs and to the families of all martyrs. Their martyrdom increases our insistence on taking revenge on the murderers and continuing the fight against the terrorist organisation until the end.”
