The Press Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said that two of its fighters, Raman (Sair Assad Al Muecel) and Seydo (Mihemed Hassan Al Sayyid), fell as martyrs in response to the attack carried out by Difa Al Watani and other armed groups affiliated with the government of Damascus on Deir ez-Zor.

The SDF statement is as follows:

“In response to the attacks by Difa Al Watani and other groups affiliated with the government of Damascus on the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, two of our fighters were martyred. Our fighters Raman (Sair Assad Al Muecel) and Seydo (Mihemed Hassan Al Sayyid) showed great resistance until the end.

Şevan Raman joined our forces a long time ago and participated in many operations against the terrorist organization ISIS. He was an example of a warrior who was not afraid of difficulties and enemy attacks. He remained loyal to his friends and forces until his martyrdom.

Martyr Seydo had a long struggle in the ranks of our forces. He had great courage and heroism against all kinds of attacks against our country. He always had a place in the hearts of his comrades.

We offer our condolences to the two martyrs’ families and to all martyrs' families, and we reiterate our promise that we will continue on the path of our martyrs to protect the peace and security of the region.”
