Two joint anti-ISIS operations resulted in two ISIS terrorists being captured in Heseke (al-Hasakah) countryside.
As part of the ongoing counter-terrorism operations, the Syrian Democratic Forces’ (SDF) Military Operations Teams TOL, in cooperation with the international coalition, conducted, on September 8, two simultaneous security operations in the Heseke (al-Hasakah) countryside, targeting two ISIS terrorists.
The first operation was conducted in the al-Arisha village and targeted the ISIS terrorist Muhammad Muhammad, originally from Al-Maraya village in Deir ez-Zor. SDF forces established a security perimeter around the village and successfully captured the terrorists. In the second operation, SDF forces captured the ISIS terrorist Hussein Musa in the village of Abyad.
“SDF forces and intelligence services have been monitoring the movements of terrorists entering the North and Eastern Syria Region coming from Turkish-occupied areas. These terrorists pose a significant threat, particularly through motorcycle bombings in al-Hasakah,” said the SDF Media Center.
“Turkish-occupied areas serve as safe havens for ISIS operatives and leaders. Several high-ranking ISIS members have been killed in these areas,” SDF noted.
The statement underlined that: “Our SDF forces reaffirm their commitment to maintaining security in the North and Eastern Syria Region. We will continue our security operations against ISIS and any other groups that threaten our region’s stability.”
