"Turkey violates divine laws"

Islamic scholar Eli Yıldız spoke about the embargo imposed by Turkey on North and East Syria, and said that the Turkish state, which represents itself as the representative of Islam, violated divine laws through its occupation policies.

The Turkish state constantly attacks North-East Syria with heavy weapons, cuts the water of the region and implements an embargo. People of the region find it difficult to meet their daily needs due to the embargo while the prices of many goods are also rising. However, the international community remains silent towards the dirty policies of the Turkish state.

'INCOMPATIBLE WITH LAWS'

Islamic scholar Eli Yıldız spoke to ANHA on the subject and said: “The Turkish state and the government of Damascus think that they are fulfilling their normal duties by closing the gates. However, they are violating divine laws. Depriving people of their basic needs in this holy month of Ramadan is incompatible with any law."

‘USING ISLAMIC RELIGION’

Yıldız stated that, “Throughout history, the Turkish state massacred people under the name of Islam. They changed the demographic structures of the regions. Today they are doing the same thing again. The massacres in Dersim and Ağrı are still remembered. Islam says that ‘Whoever kills a person kills humanity’. While Islam forbids to kill, the Turkish state does the opposite. The Turkish state has committed many crimes such as killing, kidnapping, torture and harassment in North and East Syria."

'EVERYONE FOLLOWS HIS OWN INTERESTS'

Yıldız continued, “The Kurdish-Arab-Syriac peoples in Syria should stand against the Turkish state by forming their internal alliances. This is the only solution for Syria. The international community should now condemn these policies of the Turkish state which only pursues its own interests and wants to dominate the Middle East with its interventionist policies. The international community must protect peoples. However, it seems that everyone is fighting for his own interests.”
