"The peoples of Syria demand the recognition of the Autonomous Administration"

"The demand for the recognition of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria is the legitimate demand of the Syrian peoples," said executive Al Mihemed, adding that "it is the key to the solution to the Syrian crisis."

Tabqa Civil Assembly Public Relations Committee co-chair, Ibrahim Al Mihemed, said that the peoples of North and East Syria fought for 6 years to establish the Autonomous Administration and added that the demand for its recognition is a legitimate one.

Drawing attention to the struggle and the price paid for the establishment of this system, Al Mihemed told ANHA: "Tens of thousands of martyrs were given to liberate the occupied lands. Support should be given to this project that will solve the Syrian crisis. Because this project is based on democratic co-existence, and on free participation. It offers a unique opportunity to fully play its role in the social arena."

Al Mihemed added: "Everyone who follows the political process in Syria says that the crisis cannot be solved by military means." He added that for this reason, dialogue is the only way to a solution, and that it is a necessity for all parties to be involved in the dialogue process.

Al Mihemed pointed out that the administrative system established in North and East Syria is the most appropriate system for the solution to the Syrian crisis.

Referring to the role of the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) Al Mihemed said that the "MSD is the representative body of the Autonomous Administration in the international arena".

Underlining that international forces should take diplomatic steps and recognize the Autonomous Administration, Al Mihemed said that official recognition is inevitable.
