Tabqa Economic Committee calls for international action against Erdogan's dirty policies

The Tabqa Economic Committee condemned the aggressive policies of the occupying Turkish state which target the Syrian people and Turkey’s failure to comply with international laws, calling for international action against Erdoğan's unlawful practices.

Mihemed Diya El-Dîn, co-chair of the Tabqa Economic Committee of the Democratic Civil Administration, called on the United Nations and the International Security Council to pressure the Turkish state to allow the flow of Syria's share of water in the Euphrates River. He noted that most families meet their daily needs with this water.

Diya El-Dîn stated that irrigation projects are affected by the current water level as all turbines which provide irrigation for thousands of agricultural lands are out of service. If the problem continues, huge humanitarian disasters will ensue, he warned.

"The electricity produced by the Euphrates Dam has decreased to 12 hours a day and it may be further diminished in the coming days," he added.

Diya El-Dîn condemned the policies of Erdogan and his ruling AKP party against the Syrian people and the crimes Turkey has committed in the occupied regions. He called on international community to stop Erdogan's dirty policies.
