SDF press conference - UPDATE

SDF General Relations Spokesperson Rêdûr Xelîl held a press conference on the 4th day of the occupation attacks carried out by the Turkish state and its mercenaries.

The Syrian Democratic Force held a press conference on the 4 th day of the occupation attacks carried out by Turkey.

SDF commander Rêdûr Xelîl said:

"We have always fulfilled our duties and responsibilities to the whole world. We have implemented the obligations of all international agreements signed without hesitation or flaw.

However, international public opinion and current statements by different states do not stop the Turkish state's invasion attacks. Today we are dealing with two separate fronts. One is the Turkish state and the other ISIS mercenaries.

The Turkish state is committing war crimes by massacring civilians. So far, more than 200 civilians have been killed and wounded. Furthermore, 45 of our fighters were martyred during this heroic resistance. We will continue to protect and resist for our people.

The International Coalition has not taken any concrete step so far to stop the occupation attacks.

The Turkish state aims at occupying the whole of northern and eastern Syria. On the other hand, there are thousands of ISIS mercenaries in our prisons.

So far, we've been able to control these mercenaries. But with the intensification of war, our priority will be to defend our people."

SDF commander Rêdûr Xelîl added: "

On behalf of the General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces, I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs, both civilians and military, and wish the wounded a speedy recover.

We also regret the martyrdom of the General Secretary of the Syrian Future Party, martyr Hevrin Khalaf, who was ambushed on the international road linking Tal Tamr and Aleppo, known as the M4 road, which indicates that this Turkish invasion does not differentiate between military, civilian or political. We extend our deepest condolences to our people, family and friends.

We used to meet with you to share military and field developments during our war against the terrorists of the al-Nusra Front and Daesh during the past years. But this time it is different because it is to talk of our battle against a Turkish invasion, which is unfortunate and that we never wanted.

We fought with full force and determination against ISIS terrorism in defense of common human values, and in defense of a free world. This cost us 11,000 martyrs and more than 22,000 wounded.

Those who have fallen before the eyes of the world eyes are the same heroes who liberated Raqqa which the terrorista proclaimed the capital of the Caliphate.

They are the same heroes who defeated ISIS.

Throughout the past years, through the sacrifices made by our people, we have converted the north and east of Syria into the safest and most peaceful area in Syria. We have never been a threat to Turkey, nor have we fired a single shot against it.

Here in northern and eastern Syria, we have housed hundreds of thousands of displaced Syrians from different regions and Iraqi refugees, we house the Yazidis of Sinjar, refugees from Mosul and Anbar, and we shared with them the bread we had and never used them as bargain chip as Turkey did and continues to do.

Despite the severe war conditions we will continue to care for and protect the refugees. In addition we have in our hands tens of thousands of ISIS detainees and their families who are time bombs and pose a serious threat to global security.

Yesterday, the Turkish state bombed the prison in Qamishlo which house these terrorists to open the way for them to escape. ISIS supported the Turkish state by blowing up two cars, one in front of the prison in Hesekê and the other in the center of Qamishlo.

However, the world is still ignoring this great danger and looming hell.

During the years in the war against ISIS, we had many allies, and we have been sincere and loyal to them: this stems from our culture, our original customs and what our ethics impose on us.

"We have always fulfilled our duties and responsibilities to the whole world. We have implemented the obligations of all international agreements signed without hesitation or flaw. We romeved all our posts on the border as a result of the agreement reached with Turkey and our allies. But the allies withdrawn their forces from the border in a cruel way and without even inform us. This is nothing shorter than a stab in the back.

At the same time, we highly appreciate the sincere feelings and attitudes of political and moral support shown by friends from both countries and governments and from personalities and friends.

We would like to express our gratitude to the Arab Union, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE and all Arab Union member countries. These states attach importance to the common will of the peoples in Northern and Eastern Syria.

Our fighters have been protecting the International Coalition forces for four years, acting together. However, these fighters are currently being bombed and martyred in front of the International Coalition forces.

However, international public opinion and current statements by different states do not stop the Turkish state's invasion attacks. Today we are dealing with two separate fronts. One is the Turkish state and the other ISIS mercenaries.

We call on our allies to fulfill their responsibilities and commitments as soon as possible. We do not ask the International Coalition to send its fighters to the war fronte. We want the airspace to be closed to Turkish warplanes, as promise. They can do this very easily.

The occupying Turkish state is directly targeting civilians to demoralize our fighters. They attacks civilians not just in northern and eastern Syria but also on the other side of the border, accusing us.

These accusations are unacceptable. Everyone knows that Kurds, Arabs and Assyrians on both sides of the border are related. How can we kill our own people and relatives?

We thank them for their heroic resistance. We know you will stand behind your fighters until the end of the resistance. We promise freedom and we will never accept slavery imposed on us. We will continue our sacred resistance for a dignified life. We once again call for unity of Kurdish, Arab, Assyrian and Assyrian.

The attacks of the Turkish state have been continuing since 9 October. The attacks of the Turkish state targeting the cities and villages in northern and eastern Syria with warplanes and artillery, from the Tigris to the Euphrates (Dêrik, Tirbespiyê, Girkê Legê, Qamişlo, Amûde, Dirbesiyê, Serêkaniyê, Girê Spî, Kobanê and Eyn Îsa) continue.

As a result of the bombings a massive displacement from the border areas has resulted in an estimated 100,000 civilians as the primary outcome, living in a deplorable and catastrophic way and without any international assistance. There are more than 200 civilian victims among the martyrs and wounded, including children, women and the elderly.
