SDF continue its operations against ISIS operations to maintain security and stability in the North-East Syria region.
On October 6, the Military Operations Teams TOL of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), with the support of International Coalition forces, conducted a security operation targeting an ISIS terrorist cell in the city of Raqqa. The terrorist cell was hiding near one of the SDF positions, and it was preparing to launch attacks on SDF forces. However, the vigilance of SDF fighters led to the discovery of the cell’s hideouts.
“Three terrorists were captured during the operation: Osama Khaled Odeh and Ali Ahmed Al-Shawish, both from Raqqa, and Ibrahim Muhammad Khair Ghalia from Aleppo. The captured cell was involved in supplying and distributing weapons to terrorist cells to carry out terrorist attacks against our SDF forces, civilians, and public and private infrastructure,” said the SDF Media Centre in a statement about the operation.
During the operation, SDF forces confiscated 1 AKS-74U, AKS-74U ammunition, 4 smartphones, and personal documents.
“Our SDF forces continue the anti-ISIS operations to maintain security and stability in the North-East Syria region,” the statement underlined.
