SDF captures an ISIS member in Qamishlo

SDF reaffirms their commitment to pursuing ISIS remnants, dismantling their cells, and eradicating them.

As part of ongoing security operations against ISIS remnants and cells, the SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) Military Operations Teams (MOT) conducted, yesterday July 12, an anti-ISIS operation in Qamishlo. The operation targeted an ISIS cell operative responsible for multiple bombings in the region.

“Following a precise gathering of intelligence on the terrorist Mohamed Osman Ali, our forces successfully surrounded the place where he was hiding and captured him. The terrorist Ali is originally from al-Jarniya village in Raqqa, and he was a member of an ISIS bombing cell involved in several terrorist attacks,” said the SDF Media Center in a statement about the operation.
