The Press Liaison Center for the North and East Syrian Internal Security Forces announced that the ceasefire was declared and the guarantee and mediation of the SDF and Russian military police.
The Press Liaison Center for the North and East Syrian Internal Security Forces issued a written statement regarding the ceasefire announced in Qamishlo.
The statement reads as follows:
“A humanitarian ceasefire under the guarantee of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Russian forces was achieved in the Tay neighborhood of Qamishlo. The ceasefire is temporary. There will be a ceasefire from 7 pm today (23 April 2021) to 10 am tomorrow (24 April 2021) to allow an agreement being reached on the cease-fire clauses."
