The press office of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) issued a statement on the current state of fighting against the Turkish occupation forces:

"The Turkish occupation army and its proxies have intensified their attacks on Ain Issa and the M4 road since March 17. Especially the villages of Seyda and Mealik have been attacked by the mercenary occupiers. With our fighters responding to the attacks, fierce battles have taken place on March 18 and 19.

Today at five o'clock in the morning, another attack has been launched by the mercenaries with various technical weapons on the villages of Seyda and Maelik. Due to the fierce counterattack of our forces, the mercenaries had to retreat. In this morning's fighting, ten jihadists were killed in Seyda and eight in Mealik and ten others were wounded. The massive bombardment of the region continues, affecting mainly civilian areas.

In today's fighting, one of our members was martyred and three others were injured. The identity of the fallen fighter will be released at a later date."
