Newroz in Aleppo: Resistance grows with Leader Öcalan’s philosophy

In the Newroz celebration in Aleppo, it was pointed out that the Kurdish people raised resistance with Abdullah Öcalan's philosophy.

Thousands of people attended the celebration of Newroz, Kurdish New Year, in the Shiqeyf district of Aleppo on Friday.

Speaking at the celebration, Democratic Union Party (PYD) General Assembly Member Mihemed Şêxo said, "The Newroz fire was always burning. The occupiers tried to extinguish it, but they encountered the resistance of the Kurdish people. No matter what the occupiers and oppressors do, they will not be able to extinguish the Newroz fire."

Fatme El Hesino, Board Member of the Communication Bureau of the Syrian Democratic Assembly (MSD), congratulated the military forces, the Kurdish people and Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan on Newroz and said, "March is the month of pain. However, the people of Afrin confirm that the Newroz fire will always burn. We announce from all over the world that no one can destroy this people who have made the ideas and philosophy of Leader Abdullah Öcalan the basis of their resistance and struggle."

Speaking on behalf of the Women's Defence Units (YPJ) Command, Akîn Tolhildan underlined that the struggle will be raised until Leader Abdullah Öcalan is physically freed.

Foza Yûsif, a member of the PYD Presidency Council, said: "Dark forces and power systems tried all kinds of methods to break the resistance of Leader Abdullah Öcalan with. However, they have failed.”

Foza Yûsif drew attention to the Kurdish people’s stance at Newroz and said, "The Kurdish people proved once again at this year's Newroz that they will not surrender to occupation and that they will continue and embrace their cause by raising their resistance."

Yûsif added: "The enemy is attacking by all means to destroy the identity of the Kurdish people, so they are making agreements with other forces. However, all their efforts will be futile, the right will prevail, and the invaders and their plans will come to naught."

Newroz celebrations continued with artistic activities.
