New quarantine center opens in Qamishlo

The North and East Syria Autonomous Administration’s Health Committee launched a new Covid-19 quarantine center in Qamishlo.

Health Committee is preparing to introduce a new quarantine center to isolate coronavirus patients. The Committee, which has turned a 4-storey building into a quarantine center, continues to take measures to control the epidemic.

Providing information on the subject, Ciwan Mustafa, co-chair of the Autonomous Administration’s Health Committee, said that they have established quarantine centers across Northern and Eastern Syria and that coronavirus patients are treated in all centers. There has been a need to open a new quarantine center due to the increase in the number of cases in Qamishlo, Mustafa revealed, adding that the new center will be in service at full capacity in the coming days.

Evaluating the curfew declared in Hesekê and Qamishlo, Mustafa said, “A ban has been declared in Qamishlo and Hesekê before the epidemic rages. However, the number of cases has diminished.’’
