Martyrs of the Honor Resistance bid farewell in Qamishlo

The five freedom fighters who fell martyrs during the Resistance against the Turkish occupying forces and mercenaries were bid the last farewell at the Şehîd Delîl Sarûxan Martyrs graveyard in a poignant ceremony.

The martyrs of the SDF and Internal Security Forces, Ehmed Siwêreklî (Dilbirîn), Mihemed Hesûn, Alan Mehmûd, Ehmed Qasim and Raman Elî, who fell during the resistance against the Turkish state occupation attacks, were bid farewell with a magnificent ceremony.

Thousands of people attended the ceremony which began in front of Qamishlo Martyrs' Families Assembly. The people of Qamishlo accompanied the fighters to Martyr Delûl Sarûxan martyrs graveyard.

Mihyedîn Hesen, member of the Martyrs' Families Assembly and Zelev Ceger, co-chair of TEV-DEM, addressed the crowd.

Zelal Ceger reminded the promised to avenge the martyrs and stressed the need for resistance and unity.

Ceger also reminded that the peoples of Northern and Eastern Syria have being involved in an epic resistance for 9 years and said: "We have given many martyrs to this cause. Therefore we say that we will gain our freedom and resist to protect the gains of our martyrs. The invading Turkish state wants to destroy the gains of Rojava Kurdistan. Today we defend the struggle and dignity of the peoples."

Martyr Mihemed Sozî's brother, Hesûn Sozî, also spoke at the ceremony.

Hesûn said: "We gave another martyr for our land. They do not know that we are the fighters of leader Abdullah Öcalan. We give another martyr and we are ready to give more. If necessary, even our mother will get a gun.”

Hesûn recalled that his older brother Mihemed said when he left for Serêkaniyê: "Today is the day to protect our honor. If we do not defend our honor, who will?"
