Manbij Military Council fighters: We are ready to defend our land and our people

Fighters of the Manbij Military Council said that they are ready to protect the people of the region against all kinds of attacks, and always alert against the attacks of the invaders.

Attacks and infiltration attempts by the occupying Turkish state and affiliated mercenary groups against Manbij Canton continue. The fighters of the Manbij Military Council (MMC) respond to these attacks and infiltration attempts, which have been carried out 12 times since the beginning of August. In the ensuing clashes between the fighters of the Military Council and the aggressor groups, 15 mercenaries were killed and 32 others were wounded.

Speaking to ANHA, Manbij Military Council fighters stated that they are always alert against attacks and ready to defend their lands with great enthusiasm and morale.

‘We are alert 24 hours a day on the frontline’

Reed al-Najim, who is positioned in the north of Manbij Canton, spoke about the latest situation in the region and the determination of the military forces: “We did not allow the mercenaries to enter the region. We are alert 24 hours a day on the frontline, and we are ready to protect our country from dangers at any time. We will not leave our land to anyone and we will resist until the end. We will defend our land, our honour and the security of our areas against the invaders’ attacks.”

‘The unity of the people is the strongest barrier against the invaders’

Another fighter, Fewzî El Begarî, stated that the support of the people is a great source of morale for them: “Our primary duty is to defend our people and our land. We are here at the front line of the war and we are ready to resist any attack against us.”

The MMC fighter stated that they derive their morale and motivation from the sacrifices of the martyrs and the ideas of Leader Abdullah Öcalan and said: “As long as our people support us, our morale is very high. Thanks to the sacrifices of the martyrs, our people live in security. The unity of the people with the military forces is the strongest barrier against the invaders’ attempts to occupy our regions.”
