Jazira Canton Lawyers Union visits martyr's families at Semalka Border Gate

Condemning the betrayal of the KDP, the Jazira Canton Lawyers Union demanded that the bodies of the martyrs be handed over to their families.

Jazira Canton Lawyers Union visited the action tent set up at the Semalka Border Gate to demand the delivery of the bodies of the guerrillas who fell as martyrs in Xelîfan as a result of an ambush by the KDP.

The lawyers visited the tent on the 53rd day of action at Semalka Border and made a statement.

The statement was read by lawyer Mihemed Emin El-Neîmî. The statement condemned the KDP's betrayal against the guerrillas and underlined that it is against international law not to hand over the bodies of martyrs to their families.

The statement also pointed out that the Xelîfan incident and the non-delivery of the martyrs' bodies were planned and directly related to the Turkish state.

The lawyers said that the policies of the KDP were contrary to The Hague Agreement signed in 1907. The main purpose of the Agreement was to establish peace and security in accordance with the rules of international justice and law.

At the end of its statement, the lawyers called on the KDP to immediately deliver the bodies of martyrs to their families.
