Internal Security Forces: Clashes did not cause material damage in Tai

"During the operations, we respected human rights and international regulations," said the Internal Security Forces regarding the latest fighting in Tai neighborhood of Qamishlo.

The Rojava Internal Security Forces (Asayish) said that the people's life and property were protected during the armed clashes with the pro-government militia Difa al-Watani (National Defense Forces, NDF) in the Tai neighborhood of Qamishlo that erupted on April 20.

In a statement published on Tuesday, the Asayish called on those who had to leave their homes to return.

The statement said: "The clashes that started after the Difa al-Watani militias attacked our forces, resulted in the removal of the militias from the Tai neighborhood. Our forces paid utmost attention to the safety of life and property of the residents during the operations. Our people, who had to leave their homes due to the brutal attacks of the Difa al-Watani militias, will now be able to return to their homes. Our forces, having taken control of the neighborhood, revealed how the pro-government militias turned the schools into military points. Schools will be opened as soon as possible. During the operations, we respected human rights and international regulations."
