Fierce fighting continues in Ain Issa

The Turkish invasion attempts continue in the north of Syria. Three young people between the ages of 12 and 15 were killed by Turkish artillery fire within a week in Ain Issa.

The Turkish state has been attacking the strategically important town of Ain Issa continuously for four months. While the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have been able to repel ground attacks so far, there is no remedy against the artillery shells, which are primarily fired night after night and target civilians. The attacks kill civilians and cause serious property damage. In particular, the villages of Seyda, Muelek, Cehbet, Xalidiyê, Mişrefa and Hoşan are targeted by the invasion troops due to their location on the M4 international highway.

Twelve-year-old Ehmed Ibrahim Abdulrahim was last killed by a grenade on Tuesday. A few days earlier, fifteen-year-old Saddam Ali Al-Hussein and twelve-year-old Hamada Ali Muhammad were killed by a Turkish grenade between Ain Issa and Girê Spî.

In the past four months, nine civilians were killed and at least 16 more were injured by attacks and ammunition by the occupiers in the Ain Issa area. Six villages had to be abandoned after the houses were destroyed by the invading forces.

Fierce fighting continues

Meanwhile, on Wednesday night, heavy fighting broke out on the frontline near the village of Seyda. Mercenaries of the so-called Syrian National Army (SNA) tried again to penetrate the villages. The SDF reportedly destroyed a militia vehicle. At the same time, the invading forces launched a new attack with heavy artillery fire in the region.
