Families of guerrillas in North-East Syria: We stand with our children

Families of guerrillas in North-East Syria expressed solidarity with their children's resistance and protested the Imrali isolation. The families urged the international public to take action against the Turkish state.

Families in the Girkê Legê district and Hesekê city of the Qamishlo Canton announced support for the resistance of their children in the guerrilla ranks and protested against the isolation imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan by the Turkish state.

Dozens of families of guerrillas gathered in Girkê Legê and condemned in a statement the Turkish state's attacks on guerrillas in the Medya Defense Zones in Southern Kurdistan (Northern Iraq).

HPG guerrilla Mihemed Cemil's father read out the statement which condemned Turkey’s attacks on guerrilla areas and the countries that support the Turkish state. The statement defined the policies targeting the Kurdish people as unacceptable and vowed continued resistance against the annihilation campaign of the Turkish state.

HESEKÊ

Families of guerrillas also gathered in Hesekê city center and made a statement expressing that they stand with their children.

The statement read out by Şama Eli, mother of Martyr Osman Felamaz, said, "Our children sacrificed their lives to protect their honor, land, values, culture and North-East Syria".

The families called on international organizations, institutions and the public to put pressure on the Turkish state.
