Child injured in Turkish drone attack in Shehba

According to initial reports, a Turkish drone attack on a village in the Shehba region of northern Syria injured a child.

The Turkish army attacked a village in the canton of Afrin-Shehba with a drone on Wednesday. According to ANHA, a child was injured in the attack on the village of Elewşe in the Ehdas district. The area is home to a number of refugee camps set up by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria for displaced people from Afrin.

In the last week of October, Turkey launched a massive attack against northern and eastern Syria. The attacks, carried out by fighter jets, drones and heavy artillery, targeted service centres and facilities that provide for the population, including health care facilities, bakeries, oil fields, food warehouses, water and electricity plants, and thus vital infrastructure, leaving more than 90 dead and injured. The international community ignored the attacks. Last weekend, the region around Dêrik was bombed multiple times by fighter jets.
