An ISIS cell dismantled in Deir ez-Zor northern countryside

The two captured terrorists were involved in terrorist attacks against security and military installations, as well as civic facilities in the region.

On November 13, the anti-terrorism unit YAT of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), with the participation and support of the international coalition forces, conducted a security operation targeting an ISIS terrorist cell in Wadi al-Ahmar village, al-Dashisha town, Deir ez-Zor northern countryside.

Based on precise intelligence and monitoring, the operation forces raided the hideout where the terrorist cell was hiding and issued a call for surrender. As a result, two ISIS cell terrorists were captured and seized the following: 1 AK-47 rifle, 3 AK-47 magazines, 5 smartphones, 2 mobile phones.

According to a statement by the SDF Media Centre, the two captured terrorists were involved in terrorist attacks against security and military installations, as well as civic facilities in the region.

“Our forces remain resolute in their commitment to eradicating ISIS cells, eliminating their threats to the region and the world, and upholding civil security and peace in our areas,” SDF stated.
