81 students graduate from academies in Afrin-Shehba Canton
The Education and Training Council in Afrin-Shehba Canton celebrated the graduation of 81 students from Viyan Amara Academy and Health Academy.
The Education and Training Council in Afrin-Shehba Canton celebrated the graduation of 81 students from Viyan Amara Academy and Health Academy.
65 students graduated from the Viyan Amara Academy and 16 students from the Health Academy in Afrin-Shehba Canton on Tuesday.
Afrin-Shehba Canton's Education and Training Council organised an event on this occasion at Mîtan Hall in the town of Ehdas in Shehba region. The event was attended by members of the councils and committees in the canton.
Speaking at the event, Hacer Hisên, a member of the Council of Martyrs' Families, said: “We defended our language against the enemy's attacks for 46 years. We were forced to migrate from our homes and thousands of us fell as martyrs. With the spirit of youth, we protected the Kurdish language. The occupiers cannot trample on our Kurdish identity. Today, we celebrate the graduation of our students in spite of the difficult conditions in the camps.”
Zaxo Can, director of the Viyan Amara Academy, expressed his happiness at the graduation of the students.
Bêrîvan Kiloşo, director of the canton's Health Academy, celebrated the graduation of the students despite the attacks and difficulties and said, “Today we celebrate the graduation of 16 students from the Health Academy who will work in Avrîn and Til Rifet hospitals.”
Afterwards, a screening was made about the stages of education in both academies and the students sang songs. The directors of both academies awarded students and teachers.
