Vienna: Protest against Turkish attacks on South Kurdistan

In the Austrian capital Vienna, a protest has taken place against the attacks of Turkey on South Kurdistan.

As in many other cities, activists gathered in Austria's capital Vienna yesterday to protest against the Turkish invasion of Southern Kurdistan and the construction of the wall in the northern Syrian canton of Afrin.

Since May 27, the Turkish army has been trying to bring the South Kurdish regions of Bradost and Xakurke under control with bombing and ground forces. The guerrillas are fiercely resisting, so the military is mainly targeting the population.

Thousands of people in various European cities flocked to the streets on Saturday to protest and condemn these attacks.

Another important topic at the rally in Vienna was the Turkish wall construction around Afrin, through which Turkey is trying to separate and annex the region from the rest of Syria.
