The Binevş Agal Militia of the United Peoples' Democratic Movement (HBDH) said that they carried out an action against the Turkish policemen standing guard in Amed on 1 June.

The Binevş Agal Militia of the United Peoples' Democratic Movement (HBDH) reported that they carried out a bombing action against the Turkish police in Amed.

In a written statement, the militia said: "On 1 June at 2.10 am, we carried out an action against the police using hand grenades during the shift change. The armoured police vehicle, which was sent to the scene half an hour later, was the target of our hand grenades again while it was patrolling thinking that our militias were not there.”

The army cannot move comfortably on our streets

The statement also included the following statements: “The continuous actions of our militias force the enemy to always be on the alert. They are in a constant state of tension, fear and panic. They never feel safe, they never will! They will not be able to move comfortably on our streets! They will not be able to harass our people in the middle of the street as they please. They will act with the trepidation and fear of not knowing from which corner or at what hour our militias will leave. Our actions will continue until this fascist tyranny is destroyed and our streets are liberated!”
