Ulaş Adalı’s letter goodbye when he left for Kobanê

Like Stalingrad didn’t fall, like Moscow wasn’t defeated, Kobanê won’t fall, Afrin won’t fall, Rojava won’t fall. The resistance won’t be defeated. Farewell, the peoples of the world, farewell the working class and the oppressed.

The letter Revolutionary Communards Party (DKP) Central Committee Member Gökhan Taşyakan (Ulaş Adalı) wrote when he was leaving for Kobanê has been published.

The letter Ulaş Adalı wrote for his family, his comrades and the peoples of Turkey titled “The hope of resistance won’t be defeated” is as follows:

Dear mother, father, brother, comrades, the working class of Turkey, the oppressed Kurdish people, my female friends in life of all nations, young and old, the fighters for emancipation...

If you are reading this, I must be walking the luminous path of Necdet Adalı, Zeki Erginbay, Aynur Sertbudak and Behzat Baykal.

I and the fighters for emancipation would be happy if we were able to contribute even in the smallest in the internationalist ranks to the righteous struggle of the historically and politically oppressed Kurdish people.

I will never regret supporting you and the righteous struggle of the working class and the oppressed peoples, without any coercion, through my own free will. There are and always will be values that are worth dying for. But it is much more difficult to create values worth dying for. The ranks of the Emancipation are a lever that create a series of values worth dying for. I would like to say this to you: “The essential is the organization, the essential is the struggle.”

Resisting the tyranny of the ISIS gangs is to stand in the ranks of humanity. If we were humbly able to take on tasks that were worthy of this duty, it was possible through the oppressed Kurdish people. The historical resistance of the Kurdish people has made such an internationalist resistance possible.

With the Kurdish people resisting ISIS tyranny leading the way, the internationalist solidarity of the oppressed was made possible. The magnificent revolutionary potential of the Kurdish people became the shining pride of the Middle East.

I salute you once more in confidence that the flag of our Emancipation won’t fall.

Like Stalingrad didn’t fall, like Moscow wasn’t defeated, Kobanê won’t fall, Afrin won’t fall, Rojava won’t fall. The resistance won’t be defeated. I salute all comrades and friends in the struggle who have helped me. Farewell, the peoples of the world, farewell the working class and the oppressed.

ULAŞ ADALI
