Iranian soldiers captured two Kurdish smugglers near the Iraqi-Iranian border and executed them by shooting them in the head, locals say.
Farshid Mohammed and Saman Qefari were killed late December near Sina. It was reported that two were killed as Iranian soldiers opened fire on them while they were trying to cross the border.
But locals say two Kurds were killed with three gunshot wounds on the head. The wounds shows that they were shot from close range locals say.
It's believed that two Kurds were captured alive by the soldiers and executed.
Iran's killed at least 68 Kurdish smugglers near the border in 2010.
On the first day of the new year Iranian soldiers killed one smuggler and wounded another in Sipiran region northwest of Iran.
