Turkish media and war

Media in Turkey is backing Erdoğan's war propaganda.

While a soldier injured in trying to invade Afrin expressed, "We bombed three days with planes and tanks, and could not even advance 200 meters," the Turkish media backs Erdoğan with headlines such as "We're going to Iraq".

The occupation operation launched against Afrin by Turkey and its jihadist mercenaries is teetering from one fiasco to the next, but the Turkish media is paving the way for Erdogan's fascism by attempting to deceive the public. Every day the goal of the operation is extended.

The day before, Erdoğan declared that the Turkish troops would push all the way to the Iraqi border, and the Turkish media is spreading unison maps and sketches for the occupation of all of Kurdistan.

The newspaper of the "White Turks" Hürriyet headlined "To Iraq" and did not forget to advertise national weapons production.

Sabah, as the flagship of state propaganda media, said, "We will advance to the Iraqi border," and did not fail to oppose the fact that the operation of the Turkish army still could not advance as it quoted Erdoğan by saying, " If we want, the operation will be completed in a few days, but ... "

Another organ of the tabloid media, the newspaper Star, said: "We will not stop until the Iraqi border," and Ahmet Davutoğlu's newspaper "Karar" chose the title: "To the Iraqi border."

Similarly, Yeni Şafak also announced: "From Afrin to the Iraqi border".

The newspapers in question have clearly outlined these ambitions with maps.

As many newspapers were similar in headlines, the Milliyet newspaper came to the fore by emphasizing Erdoğan's words, "We are not going to cast there."

The newspaper Akşam newspaper headlines completely out of synch with "terrorist hunt in the tunnels of Burseya". Akşam means with the "Burseya" the summit Qestel Cindo, which is one of the targets of the Turkish soldiers and its jihadist mercenaries. Again and again the media claimed that the Turkish state had conquered the summit. However, just the day before, the SDF published recent footage from there, which is also called Çiyayê Parsê by the regional population.

For the "information" of the media the Turkish secret service MIT and the department for special warfare founded an information center, which "informs" the public with photos and pictures. In this way, the Turkish state is trying to increase the mood for the war among the population. It also does not forget to advertise their weapons every day. They try to make the public forget with their virtual "victories" that despite the use of any kind of technology in the last eight days they could not make any progress in their operation.
