Turkey imported arms worth 9 million euros from Germany

Germany approved arms sales worth 8 million 975 thousand euros to Turkey in the first three months of the year. The Berlin administration designated the information requested for Turkish drones as "state secret".

The German Left Party and the Green Party asked the government for information on the arms trade with Turkey’s AKP-MHP government in two different parliamentary questions. Omid Nouripo from the Green Party asked the government the volume of arms sales to Turkey, Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Qatar in the first three months of 2021.

The government’s answer revealed that Turkey ranks third with 8 million 975 thousand 504 euros among the countries which received arms from Germany from January 1, 2021 until March 23.

TURKISH DRONES ARE GOVERNMENT SECRET

Left Party MP Andrej Hunko asked the government whether it has information that Turkish drones which are equipped with MRA and LRAT missiles were used in Nagorno-Karabakh and Libya. The government spokesperson did not reply, saying it is a "state secret".

However, the Scientific Committee which provides consultancy to the Federal Assembly, reported on January 22, 2021 that Turkish drones were used against Armenian forces in Nagorno-Karabakh. The biggest provider of the Erdogan regime, which produces drones with the support of foreign countries, is German companies.

Earlier, the German government had admitted that German MRA and LRAT missiles are used in Turkish drones.
