Swedish MP: Leyla Güven’s demand is my demand

Leyla Güven is on day 73 of hunger strike against the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan.

International solidarity is growing with HDP MP Leyla Güven who is on an indefinite hunger strike in Amed Prison where she is jailed, demanding an end to the isolation regime imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Swedish Left Party MP Ilona Szatmari Waldau has called for the demand of Leyla Güven to be met.

In a video message published on her social media account, the Swedish MP recalled that Güven’s hunger strike continues for over 70 days and said: “I support Leyla Güven. I want her to end the hunger strike. I want her demand to be met. Her demand is my demand. Abdullah Öcalan should be allowed to meet his family and lawyers.”
