It is reported that the Turkish soldier who wounded 12-year-old Kurdish child Ahmet Acar (12) with firearms in Kumcati district of Sirnak was arrested. While the head of BDP office in Sirnak Abit Ýke and BDP directors visited the Acar family the father Osman Acar said unlike it was clamied by the officials the incident was not an accident. He also stated that his son Ahmet still faces risk of death.
Speaking during the visit Head of BDP office in Sirnak Abit Ike said the incident coincide the anniversary of Kiziltepe incident in which the Kurdish child Ugur Kaymaz was shot death together with his father. Abit also reminded that 12 year-old Ugur was shot 13 times. Abit further stated that the same mentality that killed Ugur is still killing the Kurdish children to intimidate the Kurds.
The incident was not an accident
The father Osman Acar said the incident cannot be an accident as an on-duty soldier cannot make his weapon ready as if he will shoot some. He also stated that the commander at the gendarmerie headquarter accepted that the soldier failed the rules and he also has been arrested.
Ahmet is at intensive care unit
It is reported that Ahmet Acar is at Dicle University Hospital kept at intensive care unit and risk of life continues. The doctors reported that as he was shot with a G3 rifle the bullet destroyed his organs while leaving the body.
