Six Kurds were detained by Syrian security forces in Qamislo, a north-east city of Syria.
According to local media, Syrian police yesterday stormed Feqira village, 3 kilometers west of Qamislo. Six Kurds were detained on suspicion of supporting the Kurdistan Worker Party (PKK).
The detainees were named as Siʿud Mamduh Haj Khalil (b. 1972, married, two children), Nawaf Ahmad Farhan (b. 1948, married, eight children), Shukri Hussayn Farhan (b. 1966, married, two children), ʿAbdulrahim Mahmud Farhan (b. 1977, married, three children), Farhan ʿAntar al-Mohamed (b. 1959, married, six children), and Kamiran Mohamed Sadiq Farhan (b. 1971, married, four children) in the town of Faqira, near Raʾs al-ʿAyn (Serê Kaniyê).
Syrian police told the families that the detained will stand trial in State Security Court in Qamislo.
