SDF fighters advancing from Tabqa to Raqqa

YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are making further advances in their ongoing Operation Wrath of Euphrates to clear the Raqqa territory of ISIS gangs.

SDF fighters liberated the Abu Qibab village 20 km east of Tabqa following fierce clashes with ISIS last night. Several ISIS members were killed during clashes and bodies of many remained in SDF possession. SDF also seized an armored vehicle, a bomb-laden vehicle, 4 vehicles and several arms belonging to the gangs.

SDF fighters have now entered the al-Hamam village close to Abu Qibab and fierce clashes are taking place between SDF and ISIS in the village that is located between Tabqa and Raqqa.

Late yesterday, SDF fighters advancing east of Raqqa liberated the village of Samra, a zero-point at Raqqa border.
