PYD Co-president Saleh Moslem came to Scotland for a series of meetings after the invitation of the Scottish Parliament. Moslem spoke at a panel in Edinburgh University and described Rojava Revolution as ‘a great gain for humanity.’ Moslem called upon the peoples of the Middle East to unite around Rojava, which is the only safe zone for Kurds, Arabs, Turkmens, Alevis and Christians in the region. Moslem said “Whole humanity should stand up for Rojava Revolution. The region will not be safe until Kurds and other people, who are struggling for their rights, achieve their goals. Kurds are not only fighting for their self-determination but also for the values of humanity. Kurds are fighting reactionary gang groups such as ISIS to save the honor of humanity.”

‘WE WANT THE UNITY OF KURDISH PEOPLE MORE THAN ANYONE’

Lastly, Moslem noted that they have been calling for the unity of Kurdish people for many years now, and said that this unity would help solve many problems in the region.
