Rojava Democratic Autonomous Administration has opened a representation office in German capital Berlin. The opening ceremony was attended by Rojava's Europe Representative Sinam Mohamad, Kurdish politicians, PUK representative Siyamen Hariky, KNK member Yılmaz Günay, representatives of political parties in Rojava, German parliamentarians and officials from various NGOs.

Speaking during the ceremony, Rojava Democratic Autonomous Administration Berlin Representative Sipan İbrahim said the office has been opened with the purpose of developing diplomacy with the German state and to convey the developments in Rojava to the people of Germany properly.

İbrahim vowed to make efforts in order to attain good relations with Germany, adding; “We will also voice the troubles regarding the ongoing crisis in Syria, the refugee issue and other major problems. We will tell the people of Germany that Kurds, Arabs and other peoples live together in fraternity in Rojava.”

'THE EMBARGO ON ROJAVA MUST BE LIFTED'

Rojava Berlin Representative Sipan İbrahim recalled that the German state, which takes part in the anti-ISIS fight led by the US in Syria and Iraq, gave no support to the YPG but only provided intelligence, arms and training to peshmerga forces.

İbrahim added; “Still, a number of German politicians including Gregor Gysi, parliamentary group chair of the main opposition party The Left (Die Linke), have visited Rojava and had talks with YPG /YPJ combatants who are treated with respect around the globe. The Left party defends that “The embargo on Rojava must be lifted”.

FOURTH REPRESENTATION OFFICE

With the Berlin mission, Rojava Democratic Autonomous Administration has opened its fourth representation office abroad; the previous ones being those opened in Russia’s capital city Moscow February 10, Czech Republic's capital city Prague on April 3, and Sweden's capital city Stockholm on April 17.

NEW OFFICES TO OPEN

Preparations are underway for the opening of Rojava representation offices in Paris, Copenhagen and Washington as well.
