Raqqa operation: SDF fighters enter the Mansurah town

Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fighters have entered the Mansurah town from the southwest direction.

As YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continue their campaign to liberate the Raqqa territory from ISIS occupation, SDF fighters have entered Mansurah town from the southwest direction Friday morning.

In the meantime, clashes that erupted yesterday around the Mansura town and west of the Azadî Dam continue. Several ISIS members have been killed during clashes since yesterday and bodies of 3 remained in SDF possession. SDF fighters also seized 4 Kalashnikov rifles, 1 B-7 rocket launcher, 2 suicide vests and ammunition belonging to the gangs.

SDF commanders stated that fighters are advancing slowly because of the many landmines and explosives planted by the ISIS groups.

The town of Mansurah is located 20 km east of Tabqa.
