Raqqa-Deir ez-Zor road cut in the Operation Wrath of Euphrates

Syrian Democratic Forces have cut the Raqqa-Deir ez-Zor road as part of their advance towards the Raqqa under ISIS occupation.

According to reports from the ground, fighters of the YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces have taken full control over the Raqqa-Deir ez-Zor road in the ongoing operation to liberate Raqqa from ISIS occupation.

Wrath of Euphrates Operation Room announced in a statement yesterday that the military campaign continued at full force after a week-long suspension due to weather conditions, saying that;

"In the scope of our campaign to encircle Raqqa, we will first take the road leading from Raqqa to Deir ez-Zor under control, after which we will liberate the areas at the shore of the Euphrates River. The campaign will be carried out in coordination with the international coalition air support.

Wrath of Euphrates fighters liberated nine villages from ISIS yesterday.
