Public events banned in Mardin for a month

The ban will be in effect for a month starting from today.

The Governorate of Mardin province at the border with northern Syria has imposed a ban on all public events and activities for a month on the grounds of the Turkish incursion into North and East Syria.

The ban affects any public meeting, demonstration, march, press briefing and statements, setting up demonstration tents, opening a booth, sit-in action, commemoration, festival, concert, entertainment, stage play, performance, handing out leaflets and brochures, hanging banners and all similar events and activities.

According to the Governorate, the ban will in effect for a month starting from October 17.
