Protest against isolation in Athens, Nice and Mantes la Jolie

Protests are being organised throughout Europe to demand the end of isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Demonstrations and actions in support of the hunger strikers are organised all over Europe. 

Athens

In the capital of Greece, Athens, a march was organised by Greece Action Union Northern Kurdistan, Turkey platform and Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger to support the hunger strike resistance. 

Starting from the Polytechnic University, the march moved through the city carrying a giant photo of Abdullah Öcalan and dozens of PKK flags.

Greek anarchist groups supported the march.

Leaflets were handed out to citizens who were asked to show their solidarity with the hunger strikers.

After the minute silence in respect of those who died for Kurdish freedom, Metin Bingöl spoke on behalf of NÇK.

Bingöl commended the hunger strikers and said: “We will be with our Leader and our comrades until the end. This resistance will win.”

Nice

In Nice, France, a protest against isolation was promoted. Activists demanded news about the health of Abdullah Öcalan and expressed support to the hunger strikes.

Kurdish activists gathered in front of Nice Station and demanded an end to isolation. 

Activists commended DTK co-chair and HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven and hunger strikers in Strasbourg, Hewlêr, Canada and prisons in Turkey and Kurdistan. 

Mantes La Jolie 

In the city of Mantes La Joile in France, Kurds protested isolation and expressed solidarity with the hunger strikers. 

Some 300 people participated in the action in front of TJK-F.

Speakers at the rally emphasized that the demands of the hunger strikers are justified and that they are the demands of the Kurdish people. The action ended with slogans.
