Hundreds of protestors in Digor district of Agri province protested the Diyarbakir Heavy Criminal Court which rejected defense of the Kurdish politicians in Kurdish language.
It is reported that the crowd gathered in front of Peace and Democracy Party office in Digor and chanted slogans. The press release was red out by the chair of BDP office in Digor Ahmet Kurtulan who said that BDP has been facing a lynch campaign since the general elections of 29 March. He also reminded that several Kurdish elected mayor and politicians are imprisoned within the scope of the ongoing KCK case.
Kurtulan also criticised the Diyar Heavy Criminal Court which described Kurdish as an unknown language and said this is a denial of Kurdish people and by doing so the court has insulted the Kurdish identity.
The crowd dispersed after the protest.
