As the siege and offensive of Turkish state forces in Amed's Silvan district continues in its seventh day, special operation teams opened deliberate fire on Dicle coffee house near Feridun neighborhood which remains outside of the curfew area.
The armed attack left three civilians Mehmet Yavuz (45), Seyfettin Kurt (44) and Abdulsamet Kesici (50) with heavy wounds, upon which the three were rushed to Silvan State Hospital.
Following an immediate treatment here, Mehmet Yavuz lost his life during referral to Amed where he would be taken under treatment at Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital. The other two are still being treated at emergency service of Silvan hospital.
On the other hand, a blast on Eski Bitlis Street in Mescit neighborhood has reportedly left many special operation police wounded. While two of these remain in Silvan State Hospital, the others have been referred to Amed for treatment.
As special operation teams have made reinforcements in the district, Silvan hospital has also been blockaded by police forces and a number of ambulances have been sent from Amed.
While more tanks have been dispatched to the district, an armored digger was damaged and left unusable as it tried to enter the neighborhoods under siege.
Tanks have in the meantime been deployed on Hill Gaza that overlooks the entire area under curfew, and are conducting artillery fire on the neighborhoods.
