The Iraqi parliamentary elections saw a 44 percent of voter turnout on May 12.

Around 10 million eligible voters cast their ballots during the election, the commission said during a press conference.

The seats won by the parties in South Kurdistan are as follows;

In Iraq, the coalition supported by Shia leader Muqtada al-Sadr took the lead, according to the Iraqi Independent High Electoral Commission Head of Department Riyad Bedran’s press conference in Baghdad.

The Sa'iroon coalition supported by Sadr won 54 seats in the parliament with 329 seats.

Fateh coalition supported by Hashd al-Shaabi commander Hadi Amiri took the second rank with 47 seats, and the Naser coalition led by Prime Minister Haidar Al-Abadi came the third with 42 seats.
