In Kýrýklar F-type Prison No. 1, prisoners were given a weekly newspaper only once in two months. And the the ban on Kurdish publications is still in progress. The prison prosecution passed the buck to public prosecution about the ongoing oral report imposition. The application punishes the relatives of prisoners as well.

Nothing has changed in Kýrýklar F-type Prison No. 1 where the pressure against prisoners increased with the appointment of Sincan F-type Prison No 1 former warden Ayhan Çapacý. Publication bans and oral report application on phone are continuing.

Following the appointment of an official named Serpil Albayrak as under manager and her becoming responsible for publication commission, weekly publications are almost never allowed to prisoners. Some prisoners were given only one issue of Atýlým journal in November and December. Published weekly, the newspaper published 8 issues in two months. Bans on Kurdish publication is also continuing in the prison where prisoners aren’t allowed for Daily Azadiye Welat newspaper on grounds that there isn’t any interpreter.

One of the two prisons where oral report imposition during phone calls continue is the Kýrýklar Prison… The same issue is also proceeding in Sincan F-type Prison, whose former warden Çapacý was.

According to ÝHD Ýzmir Branch Head Mustafa Rollas, the oral report application is completely arbitrary…On the relevant legal regulation, lawyer Rollas underlines that the statement "the person represents himself" was turned into oral report by prison administrations. Rollas reminds that the prisoner gives the documents concerning the person he will meet to the prison administration beforehand, adding; “The person to be met is already apparent. That’s why; a respect that these people impose themselves is unreasonable. This is a military discipline application. A continuation of the prisons of 12 September period”.
