The Iraqi Army Cizire-Euphrates Operations Command announced that they have launched a new phase in the operation to take the Ruman and Rawe districts in the Anbar province back from ISIS.
The Ruman and Rawe districts in the Anbar state have been occupied by ISIS since 2014. The districts are on the Syrian border and are the last places ISIS holds in Iraq.
The Iraqi army and Hashd al-Shaabi forces had launched an operation to take the Ruman district in El Kaim province back from ISIS on November 8. The Al-Kaim province had been taken from ISIS on November 3.
