When none of the mosques agreed to take in HPG guerrilla Abdullah Aygun's body, the family had to fulfill their religious obligations in a Cemevi and held the burial there.
The body of HPG guerrilla Abdullah Aygun, martyred in lgdir on January 4, was brought to Istanbul by his family on Monday. Aygun was then taken to the Gazi neighborhood in the Sultangazi district as the family wished to fulfill their religious obligations, but none of the mosques in the neighborhood agreed to take the body. The Aygun family therewith took the body to the Gazi Cemevi.
Religious obligations were completed in the Cemevi (Alevi place of worship) and the family took the body to the Gazi Cemetery to be buried. The family was then stopped by the police, who told them to hold a funeral either late at night or early in the morning.
The family buried the body early in the morning in the Gazi Cemetery.
