Memorial in Florence for YPG fighter Lorenzo Orsetti
All revolutionary martyrs were commemorated as well as Piling, who fought against ISIS and the AKP fascist mentality in Rojava.
YPG fighter Lorenzo Orsetti (Tekoşer Piling) was remembered in Florence, Italy. A large crowd attented the memorial on Wednesday.
The family of Martyr Orsetti led the memorial which was attended by the Kurdish Committee representatives and many civil society organizations. All revolutionary martyrs were commemorated as well as Piling, who fought against ISIS and the AKP fascist mentality in Rojava.
Remarking that what was built in Rojava was the model of democratic modernity, primarily based on the woman and humanity revolution, activists said: "It is the duty of every revolutionary and Kurdish to grow and establish such a place."
A call was made for people to join the marches to protest the massacres of the Turkish state in Kurdistan. Marches will be organised in Rome, Milan, Florence, Bologna, Parma, Alessandria, Nuoro, Livorno, Ragusa, Palermo, Catania, Bolzano, Campobasso, Riage, Naples.
